Exploring coding is a dynamic and creative endeavour open to students across diverse disciplines. This practice fosters computational thinking, nurtures problem-solving abilities, enhances critical thinking, and exposes individuals to real-world scenarios for effective problem resolution across various domains. Recognizing the significance of coding in holistic development, CBSE is introducing a dedicated ‘Coding’ skill module with a 12-hour duration for classes VI-VIII starting from the academic session 2021-2022. The initiative aims to simplify the coding learning experience by emphasizing design thinking, logical ideation, and their application across different subjects. By laying strong foundations during the formative years, students are better equipped to develop competencies in AI, data sciences, and various other disciplines.
